Details:
Greenland's Home Rule (Naalakkersuisut) and Unicef Danmark have started a
collaboration on the project "NAKUUSA" ("Let us be strong"). Camilla
Nielsen has drawn the humorous stamp, which is also issued as a souvenir
sheet.
Nina Spore Kreutzmann has once again created two beautiful designs of
Greenlandic herbs, this time with Northern Bilberry and Labrador tea.
The series, which began in 2011, consists of a total of six stamps of
which the last two will be issued in 2013.
In 1962 Knud Rasmussen's Folk High School was founded in Sisimiut
(Holsteinsborg). The beautiful design, which marks the 50th anniversary
of the folk high school and its great importance to Greenland, was
drawn by its former student Miki Rasmussen.
Jessie Kleemann, Frederik
"Kunngi" Kristensen and the cooperative partners Inuk Silis Hoegh and
Asmund Havsteen-Mikkelsen are the artists who created the three works of
art, which make up the sixth part of the "Contemporary Greenlandic Art"
series. The three stamps were issued in a stylish souvenir folder with
presentations of the individual artists and their other works. In
addition, the artwork of Inuk Silis Hoegh and Asmund Havsteen-Mikkelsen
was issued as a souvenir sheet.(Source-Stampnews)
