of Bundelkhand.He is a freedom fighter with a revolutionary zeal, a
journalist with entrepreneurial skills and above all a loving family man
— that perhaps sums up the personality of Puran Chandra Gupta, a
visionary who gave a new direction to Hindi journalism with the
establishment of the Jagran newspaper group.India and is immensely
popular for its Hindi daily ‘DAINIK JAGRAN’ Promoted in 1942, "Dainik
Jagran" is currently ranked as the No. 1 Hindi newspaper in India.The
newspaper covers a vast geographical area comprising the states of UP,
Uttaranchal, Punjab, Bihar, Delhi, Harayana, Jharkhand, M.P. and parts
of Rajasthan
