On January 5, 2011, China National Philatelic Corporation issued a set of one first-day cover carrying a one-piece set of special stamp, "Xin Mao Year", with a total face value of 1.20 yuan. The picture on the stamp is named:"Xin Mao Year".
According to Chinese lunar calender,2011 is Xin-Mao year or the Year of the Rabbit.In real life ,rabbit is a favorite of many people because of its tamed,lively and lovely nature.In traditional Chinese culture,while the three-legged crow represents the sun,rabbit is synonymous with moon.Considered an auspicious animal,the rabbit was often offered as a sacrifice to Gods and ancestors in the remote antiquity.Today it is remains symbolic of happiness and good luck,conveying people's wishes for better life.

Remark:This is my first FDC in the year 2011 from China,Thanks Fan for sending such nice FDC hope I will get all this year FDC from you.We are lucky that your postal department is very systematic to have all the items available in time so that you can send registered post FDC but our country postal department is not so competent so I am forced to send normal FDC to my friends for some issue.
China National Philatelic Corporation issued a Gold Stamp(30g) about Xin Mao Year.
